The Boilermakers will look to shake off a four-game skid, after falling on the road at Iowa 87-81. Madison Layden matched the program record for 3-pointers in a game with six against the Hawkeyes, finishing with a career-high 19 points. Layden is one of three rookies this season to knock down six triples and dish out four assists in a game this season.
Fatou Diagne turned in another solid performance, picking up her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. With 8.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per conference game, the Senegal international is one of eight players in the Big Ten to average at least eight points and eight rebounds per league outing. Diagne is averaging nearly five points and three rebounds better than her totals as a redshirt junior.
NOTES
• Purdue leads the all-time series against Wisconsin 53-20, winning five of the last six meetings.
• The Boilermakers have drilled 10 3-pointers in three games this season, their highest total in a single campaign since 2013-14's five.
• Head coach Sharon Versyp still sits on the verge of history, needing one win to join the Purdue 300-victory club. She will be just the eighth coach in Purdue history to reach that milestone, including Matt Painter, Gene Keady and Dave Shondell.
• Kayana Traylor has carried the lion's share of the scoring responsibilities during the four-game skid with 12.8 points per game. Madison Layden has followed closely with 9.8 points per night at an impressive 52% clip from the field.
• Ra Shaya Kyle continues to make the most of her short spurts on the court. The Marion, Ind., native leads the Big Ten freshmen with 19 offensive rebounds and sits fourth among league rookies 3.9 boards per game.
• Madison Layden has hit a 3-pointer in nine straight outings, dating back to the triple that broke Purdue's 1-for-28 drought to start the year.
• Purdue is 4-0 this season and 15-8 since the start of the 2018-19 campaign when Kayana Traylor dishes out at least five assists.
• Cassidy Hardin has made a 3-pointer in 39 games over her 71-game career. 70 of her 78 made field goals have come from behind the arc.
