NOTRE DAME, Indiana — Three Notre Dame student-athletes were named ACC Performers of the Week Tuesday, winning all but one of the four categories. Senior Kelly Straub and junior Austin Flaute earned women’s and men’s Diver of the Week honors, respectively, while sophomore Coleen Gillilan took home ACC women’s Swimmer of the Week, all for their performances vs. No. 13/14 Louisville.
Straub swept the women’s diving events in Notre Dame’s upset of No. 14 Louisville. Her biggest mark was made with a sky-high 325.20 on the 1-meter, earning a Zone A designation. She added a 282.30 on the 3-meter for a Zone C score and the win.
Flaute was Notre Dame’s highest-scoring men’s diver in both the 1- and 3-meter events. He won the 1-meter with a Zone-C 311.03, besting the nearest competition by nearly 20 points. Flaute placed second in the 3-meter with a 312.45.
Gillilan continued her dominance in the Fly and IM events, winning all three of her individual races. She notched NCAA B-Cut times with wins in the 200 Fly (1:56.62) and the 100 Fly (53.52), while also winning the 200 IM with a 2:00.37. Additionally, Gillilan swam in the 200 Medley Relay that placed second.
