WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Junior guard Grace Berger led the way with 22 points and sophomore guard Mackenzie Holmes added 20 points as the No. 18 Hoosiers cruised past its in-state rival Purdue, 66-45, on Thursday afternoon.

The game would be tied at 8-all but the Hoosiers would go on a scoreless drought for nearly five minutes as the Boilermakers took a 12-8 lead.
Holmes scored four of her eight points in the quarter in the final 1:08 of action as she helped IU tie the game up at 12-12.
Senior guard Keyanna Warthen earned valuable minutes again as she came in off the bench to start things off for the Hoosiers as she got one at the line and a fast break layup. Purdue's Kayana Traylor made the team's only points in the second quarter on an and-1 opportunity as the Hoosiers coasted in the period, ending it on a 17-0 run.
Berger's 3-pointer at the buzzer capped Indiana's strong effort in the half, taking a 32-15 lead at halftime.
Purdue's scoring drought lasted two and a half more minutes in to the third quarter as Berger added two more buckets to her stat line to take a 20-point lead with 7:46 to go.
The Hoosiers would go on to hold their largest lead at the end of the third quarter, going up 50-27.
They would close out the win shooting 46 percent from the floor with six points from Berger in the fourth quarter.
NOTABLE
Indiana has now won four-straight and the last seven of eight meetings with the Boilermakers.
Indiana tied a season record for lowest points allowed by an opponent in a quarter with three points in the 2nd quarter of the contest. IU held Samford to three points in the 2nd quarter on 12/3/20.
The Hoosiers went on a 17-0 scoring run that lasted the final 7:34 in the first half of action to take the lead for good.
Three Indiana players shot in double-figures. Junior guard Grace Berger ended the night with 22 points while sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes scored 20 and Junior guard Aleksa Gulbe had 10.
Berger scored a team leading 22 points for her sixth-consecutive game in double figure scoring. She also dished out a team-high seven assists.
Holmes had her seventh-consecutive in double figures on Thursday with 20 points.
Gulbe and Holmes both had a team-leading six rebounds.
Berger, Holmes, and Gulbe combined for 52 of Indiana's 66 points.
The Hoosiers shot 51 percent from the field and hit five of their last seven shots in the first half.
Indiana scored 40 points in the paint compared to Purdue's 16.
