Athlete of the Week: Isaac Hibbard (New Albany, Ind.) Hanover College | Guard | Senior – Hibbard helped propel the Panthers to a 2-0 overall start. In the season-opener, the senior stole a Franklin inbounds pass with six seconds remaining, taking it the length of the floor for the game winning basket. He posted a game-high 22 points and eight assists in the win. For the week, Hibbard averaged 15 points per game, 4.5 assists per game and 3.5 rebound per game, while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Athlete of the Week: Zenoviah Walker (Danville, Ky.) Transylvania University | Guard | Senior – Walker led the Pioneers to a 62-41 win at Adrian College on Saturday for the Pioneers' third straight win against a Division III opponent. Walker scored 12 points and hit 2-of-5 three-pointers and tallied a game-high five assists and career-high six steals, along with three rebounds. Walker's career-best six steals were part of a team total 20 steals as the Pioneers forced Adrian into 25 turnovers which the Pioneers scored 27 points off of. Notable Performances:
· Savannah Courtney (Lawrenceburg, Ky.) Hanover College | Forward | Senior - Courtney helped lead the Blue and Red past Manchester as she tied a game-high 15 points with four rebounds and three assists in the Panthers' lone game of the week.
