LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Butler picked up their first win of the season at Bellarmine on Sunday afternoon (18-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 15-7). The two teams battled through five sets to determine a winner and in the fifth, BU would come out on top 15-7.
How it Happened
Butler had to battle back and win the second and fourth set to send it to five. The Knights broke a 15-15 tie in the opener with a 10-3 scoring run to go out in front. Butler pulled even with a win in set two 25-22. The home team used a 3-0 scoring run in crunch time of the third set to go up 2-1. The late scoring run moved the score to 24-21 and Ashley Price would deliver the final kill to put Bellarmine back in front. The fourth set ended with three-straight Knight attack errors, helping BU collect a 25-22 win. The fifth set was never in question as Butler raced out to a 4-0 lead. The Knights would climb back in contention with a service ace to make the score 8-6, but they would not get any closer.

Brittany Robinson ended the day with 19 kills, 10 digs, four blocks and two service aces. She recorded four of her 19 kills in the fifth-set including the match-winner off an assist from Friebel.
